Program Description:

The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes in a broadrange of research areas from meteorology and physical oceanography. The department trains future leaders in such disciplines as atmospheric physics and chemistry, dynamic and synoptic meteorology, the climate system, air-sea-ice interactions, and physical oceanography. Students are educated in a novel research environment that combines extensive exposure to theory, observations, and modelling. They have access to such state-of-the-art facilities as the McGill Doppler radar, wind profiler, radio acoustic sounding system, and satellite data laboratory.
