Program Description:
The School of Architecture offers M. Arch. programs in Architectural History and Theory and in Housing, for applicants who have a professional degree in architecture. In addition, it offers a two-semester Graduate Diploma in Housing. The History and Theory Program focuses its research on the exploration and understanding of the complex connections between history, theory, and design. The Housing Program comprises three options: Affordable Homes - exploring new and innovative approaches to North American housing and settlement design; Domestic Environments - concerned with the role of living spaces as shapers and containers of social interaction; and Minimum Cost Housing - developing a philosophy with respect to the design of human settlements in developing countries.
