Program Description:
The Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) consists of approximately 40 faculty, 180 graduate students, 40 undergraduate students, and 90 research and support staff, who conduct research in most of the major sub disciplines of geophysics, geology, geochemistry, oceanography, atmospheric science, andplanetary science. These areas of research often overlap, and there are many opportunities for members of different sub disciplines to work together; for example, planetary physicists, sedimentologists, and seismologists work together in advising students, teaching subjects, and conducting research.
