Program Description:

The Master of Fine Arts at MassArt is a full-time residential program for artists and designers who seek to develop their work in an environment that encourages critical dialogue, discussion of historic and contemporary issues, and self-discovery in the context of those issues. The studio core of the MFA program leads to the development of a thesis exhibition or presentation. Supplementing the MFA studio work are studies in art history, art theory and criticism, and for those who plan to teach, pedagogy.
