Program Description:
The MA program in Art Education is intended for graduates of schools and departments of art/art education who are certified to teach art. The program is designed to enrich the scope of their professional work and to extend their academic status. Marywood also provides the student with the opportunity to obtain Pennsylvania Instructional Certification (K-12) through the MA in Art Education or Post Baccalaureate study.

In the concentration, the student must take a minimum of nine credits of graduate Art Education courses.

The student must take at least 15 credits in graduate studio courses.
PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTION (NO CREDIT)
Students are required to select one of the culminating experiences at a designated time prior to graduation. It may be a research paper or creative project.
