Program Description:
The School of Education is offering its first Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning, all made possible via the Internet. The certificate consists of three 3-credit graduate courses offered within the Educational Technology program and a 1 credit online teaching experience. Individuals who earn this certificate will learn to develop courses and teach online, both in virtual schools and blended classrooms. The certificate is geared to K-12 teachers, higher education teachers, as well as corporate trainers and fulfills the DPI requirements for K-12 teachers who want to teach online.
Upon certificate completion, individuals may want to roll over the 9 credits into Marian's Master of Arts in Education, Educational Technology program. Students who have already completed the Educational Technology Master’s Program need only EDT 604 Special Topics for 3 credits and EDT 794 Online Teaching Practicum to obtain their certificate.
