Program Description:
The Online Master of Science in Nursing program prepares experienced nurses who have a baccalaureate degree to be nurse educators. Graduates are qualified to teach in baccalaureate and associate degree, and Licensed Practical nursing programs or provide staff development in health care settings. The program is designed specifically for professional nurses seeking an advanced degree while maintaining current employment. Ideally students take two courses for six semesters to complete the program in two calendar years.
Students choose one of four major clinical focus areas: medical-surgical nursing, maternal-child nursing, psychiatric nursing or community health nursing. All experiential activities center on student's chosen clinical focus area.
