Program Description:
The Master of Arts in Music Education provides music educators the opportunity for continued education and professional development in all areas of music education. During the 1920's, Mansfield University was the first Pennsylvania College to offer a certificate for music supervisors, and since that time MU has continued the long tradition of training exemplary music educators.
The music education program is designed for practicing music educators as well as students in residence. Courses are offered in the evening, on-line and through summer study to allow teachers flexibility in scheduling. The current music education faculty offers varied and extensive experience in all areas. This allows students the opportunity to design a course of study that meets their individual needs.

The Mansfield University Music Department is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
