Program Description:

The Master of Arts in Ethical Studies program was established  in 1992 to answer the growing need for young professionals who possess in depth knowledge of Ethics at an advanced level. The program provides a unique interdisciplinary education in ethical affairs. The  degree is offered through Mahidol University Faculty of Graduate Studies and administered by  the Department of  Humanities, Faculty  of  Social Science and Humanities. The first distinctive feature of the Ethical Stu dies Program of Mahidol University is its interdisciplinary approach to the study of ethics. The second distinctive feature  of the programme is the cosmopolitan character of  both its faculty and its student body. The faculty’s diver sity reaches over a wide range of interests and styles, and the program includes not  only students specializing  in ethics but also those with a degree  in a different  specialization and professional experiences. The  third distinctive feature is to provide students specializing in Bio-medical Ethics clinical experiences which emphasizes ethical issues. Students participate  in teaching rounds, social conferences, seminars, and other clinical experiences in a variety of medical fa cilities students in this program thus gain practical as well as theoretical experience  in bio-ethical decision making.
