M.S.-Clinical Research Methods
Program Description:
The Clinical Research Methods program was developed to improve the support of clinical investigators who are committed to improving medical care. The M.S. in Clinical Research Methods can be regarded as a “value-added” degree for individuals already holding a health care professional degree: the program provides the skills needed to obtain independent funding, initiate and complete research projects and to expand the range of activities a health care professional can contribute to advance clinical medicine. In addition, the clinical researcher with formal training may act as a mentor for other health care workers who are interested in clinical research. The majority of courses are offered as 10-week evening courses, and students are required to complete a total of 24 credit hours in addition to a research project. Students typically finish the program in 2-3 years.
