Program Description:
The program strives to provide a balance of training and experience in research, clinical work, and teaching. Specifically, the program seeks to enable its students to develop proficiency in the knowledge of the substantive content, theories, and methodological approaches of psychology; the planning and execution of psychological research; the specialized knowledge of psychological dysfunctions and approaches to assessment and treatment; the selection and use of psychological assessment procedures, including clinical interviewing, intelligence and personality testing, and behavioral assessment; the selection and implementation of constructive intervention procedures; the written and oral communication of psychological information; and knowledge of and adherence to the ethical standards of the profession.
