The Neiswanger Institute for Bioethics and Health Policy at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine offers an Online graduate degree programs in Bioethics and Health Policy. The online programs utilize the latest instructional web-based techniques to offer a graduate program to professionals with a significant interest in bioethics (applicants should possess an advanced or professional degree). Participants learn to analyze ethics cases and policies, become familiar with the bioethics literature, facilitate ethical decision-making, and effectively teach colleagues and students. A multidisciplinary approach to clinical bioethics that explores the clinical, philosophical, legal, public health, spiritual and justice aspects of healthcare delivery and policy is emphasized. The online platform utilizes power point presentations, video lectures, and online discussion boards for in-depth discussions. Four-course certificate programs are also available. Interested students may even take one course as a nondegree seeking student.
