Program Description:
The MPH program is designed to provide graduates the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the public health core competencies outlined by the Associated Schools of Public Health Education Committee’s core competencies project, which focus on the following public health areas: biostatistics, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, health policy and administration, social and behavioral sciences, communication and informatics, diversity and culture, leadership, public health biology, professionalism, program planning, and systems thinking. Lenoir-Rhyne University’s MPH program provides smaller classes where students receive one-on-one attention; evening classes tailored to meet the needs of students working full-time; and flexible field practicum and capstone experiences that focus on individual interests, including study abroad opportunities.
