"Keywords for the MPhil in Literature are deepening, broadening, methodology and internationalisation. By its nature, the scope and structure of the programme will breach discipline boundaries. Each of the four tracks offered, provides the opportunity for close co-operation between the West and the non-West, a characteristic of the Leiden Faculty of Arts being the broad spectrum of study programmes of languages and cultures (literatures) on offer, spanning the West and the non-West. This variety is unparalleled in the Netherlands and in most of the rest of the world.Students will benefit from the plethora of institutes and collections associated with Leiden University. All tracks of the programme are embedded in a strong research framework with ample support, enabling students to benefit from a high quality research environment."
