Program Description:

Students participating in the MA in African Linguistics will gain a profound understanding of linguistic research methods and techniques. The programme is internationally renowned for the expertise it has to offer in the field of a large number of African languages and linguistics. Where possible, the courses will take the shape of individual tutorials. The aim of the programme is to prepare students to do linguistic analysis on an African language independently, with an awareness of the cultural and linguistic context.
