Landegg Academy's integrative approach to the study of religion is based upon the principle of the fundamental unity and harmony of the teachings of all religions, as well as their historical specificity, and is grounded in the unity of science and religion. These foundational concepts imply an approach to knowledge that considers the material and the intellectual dimensions of human reality to be inseparable from its spiritual and ethical dimensions. The integrative approach to scholarship and inquiry is characterized not only by the harmony of reason and revelation but by a recognition that the power of intellectual investigation and knowledge, particularly in the field of religion, is a divine gift that must be employed towards the constructive solution of human problems in a way that leads to increased unity.
