Program Description:
The Reproductive Physiology and Endocrinology Program is staffed by faculty members with diverse research interests and established laboratories. Among the research areas arestudies of the environmental and neuroendocrine control of seasonal reproductive cycles, regulation of biological rhythms in mammals, cellular and molecular regulation of steroid synthesis, membrane biochemistry of neurotransmitter release, maternal effects during fetal life on neuroendocrine development, cellular physiology of the gonads, regulation of egg activation at fertilization, and sperm physiology.
