Program Description:
The Master's degree program in Health Education is designed to enable individuals to pursue theirdiverse interests in the field while addressing the competencies essential to professional developmentas outlined in the Health Education Role Delineation Model. Through its affiliation with the Collegeof Education, the Health Education program offers both the Master of Education (M.Ed.) and theMaster of Arts (M.A.) degrees. The M.A. degree includes a thesis and is especially recommended forthose who intend to pursue a doctoral degree. A concentration in health education is available through the Ph.D. degree in Curriculum andInstruction. The Ph.D. concentration in Health Education emphasizes the interaction between thetheoretical, empirical, and applied nature of health education.
