Program Description:

A case manager coordinates efforts regarding the care of the mentally challenged. This Master programme includes advanced knowledge of this area as well as a basic psychotherapy training with an emphasis on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). The programme is suitable as further training for professional categories in health care sector and the social services. It is a distance education course.

The programme leads to further knowledge and potential in the field of case management. The programme includes basic psychotherapy training with an emphasis on cognitive behavioural therapy, which makes it possible for the case manager to intervene therapeutically. Students also develop their skills in planning, organising, and performing different care interventions. They further acquire the advanced knowledge of research methods and methodology required in the investigation and evaluation of care services. A degree project, in psychiatry or the social service field, concludes the programme.
