Program Description:

The Conflict Resolution graduate certificate provides additional skills and applications for resolving conflicts in the fields of social services, business, political science, psychology, women's advocacy, criminal justice, and communications. The Conflict Resolution program is also offered as a non-degree undergraduate certificate. Students will study the dynamics of conflict and how to resolve them, which can improve both their own personal situations and their ability to contribute in the workplace. Students will learn to address the complexity of people's lives, help them build a sense of community, foster mutual respect and cooperation, and teach them to rely on fairness rather than power as a basis for resolving disputes. To complete the graduate certificate program, students must complete four 3-credit-hour courses. The first course taken must be FSHS 751. To complete the undergraduate certificate program, students must complete four 3-credit-hour courses, the first of which must be FSHS 531
