This department is equipped with some of the finest visual and tactile laboratory facilities in the country. We will make the most of this excellent environment to conduct leading edge research related to perception and cognition, such as seeing, hearing and touching, as well as any combination of these senses. At the same time, in terms of lifestyle and well-being, we are deeply committed to applied research on environmental design enabling persons with impaired vision and of advanced age to live comfortably together with the rest of society.
