Program Description:
The Master of Science in Applied Economics Program centers on economic reasoning and estimating and formulating economic models using econometrics and other quantitative techniques. Johns Hopkins University offers a rigorous and demanding curriculum and a talented and dedicated staff of instructors. Our goal is to prepare students to answer the questions they face in their professional endeavors. Emphasizing quantitative techniques, the program's substantive scope is wide: From Public Policy, to Business Economics, to Finance and Macroeconomics, to International Economics and Development, to Defense Economics, and to Environmental and Health Economics. The program, in conjunction with the International Institute of Forecasters, also offers a Certificate in Forecasting Practice, which can be completed fully online.
