Program Information
Degree Offered
M.A. - Public Policy
Program Description:
The Master of Arts in Public Policy (MPP) at The Johns Hopkins University is a two-year professional degree program that equips students with the analytical skills required to understand and influence public policy. The program is small by design, affording students extensive opportunities to interact with faculty. The Hopkins MPP program stands out from most public policy programs in several major respects: rigorous training in quantitative, analytical skills and practical management skills; location within a University-based research institute, which provides opportunities for students to work as research assistants; and easy access to Washington D.C. which gives students significant opportunities to learn firsthand about the policy process and to become personally acquainted with those involved in it.
Eligibility Requirements:
Personal Statement, Three Letters of Recommendation and Undergraduate Transcripts are required as part of the application.
International Student Requirements:
International students must take the TOEFL or IELTS examination. In addition, international students who are approved by the admissions committee will need to complete a phone or skype interview before a final admissions decision can be made.
