Program Description:
The M.S. degree in environmental science is open to students with undergraduate degrees in biology, chemistry, physics, geology, and other scientific disciplines. In addition to completing a minimum of 30 credits, candidates for the M.S. degree must complete an independent research project, submitted as a formal essay. The M.S.E. degree in environmental engineering is open to students with an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering degree or demonstrated equivalent. The program requires a minimum of 30 credits and is typically a nine-month program based on course work alone. The purpose of the Ph.D. program in environmental engineering and chemistry is to prepare students for professional careers in advanced research, design, engineering, and teaching.
