Program Description:
The PsyD Program is designed for individuals seeking the highest level of training to become hands-on practitioners. Graduates are prepared for multiple roles as clinician, assessor, program administrator and evaluator, consultant, educator, supervisor and critical analyst of psychological research that contemporary psychologists must fill to competently serve their communities. Practical applications, advanced clinical training and specialized fieldwork are emphasized throughout the program. Traditional Ph.D. programs, by comparison, prepare graduates primarily to teach and conduct scholarly research.
