Program Description:
The Graduate School of JTS is boasts the largest, most comprehensive graduate programs of advanced Judaica in the Western Hemisphere with world-renowned faculty and extensive research facilities including the leading library of North America. Jewish Studies at JTS will provide you the opportunity to engage with Jewish texts, broadly defined, in their original languages and deepen your knowledge of the larger context that informs the Jewish experience. The Graduate School offers specializations in: Ancient Judaism, Bible and Ancient Semitic Languages, Interdisciplinary Studies, Jewish Art and Visual Culture, Jewish History, Jewish Literature, Jewish Thought, Jewish Gender and Women’s Studies, Liturgy, Medieval Jewish Studies, Midrash and Scriptural Interpretation, Modern Jewish Studies, Social Work and Jewish Professional Leadership, and Talmud and Rabbinics.
