Program Description:

Indigenous studies coursework programs at JCU have been established to meet the growing demand for skilled graduates with knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and cultural considerations, in relation to research and development. These skills are in demand by Indigenous organizations, government agencies and in many areas of education, training, business, industry and commerce.

JCU’s Indigenous studies programs will be relevant to graduates from many fields including the social sciences, education, law, arts, commerce, medicine, public health and science, including engineering and marine biology. Subjects are offered by flexible delivery, with limited attendance and block modes on campus.
