Program Description:
JCU’s Forensic Psychology programs provide graduates with:
*detailed knowledge of the biopsychosocial interactions which result in criminogenic personalities, behaviours and environments;
*advanced knowledge of the tools and techniques used by forensic psychologists; and
*thorough professional knowledge of the ethical issues that arise when working with sub-disciplines of forensic psychology.
The Master of Psychology provides advanced academic and practical postgraduate training for professional practice. The forensic psychology program is accredited by the Australian Psychological Society. It will also meet the requirement for a fifth or sixth year of academic training for membership of the Australian Psychological Society and the requirements of the Psychologists’ Board of Queensland for registration as a psychologist.
