Program Description:
Smart Systems is a highly future-oriented Computer Science graduate program tightly integrated with research.
The goal of the program is to take people with raw talent and intellect, nurture them in our environment through a thorough immersion in research and coursework, and produce well-educated researchers and future leaders in Computer Science.
It integrates an in-depth training in core disciplines of computer science, especially computer networks and distributed systems, databases, Web services, artificial intelligence, robotics, visualization and computer graphics, and the mathematics of complex systems.
Prospective Smart Systems students must have a BSc degree in Computer Science or related fields. The program will lead to a MSc or a PhD degree.
The proposed MSc study plan is as follows (semesters 1-4):
• 6 graduate courses in major
• 2 graduate courses in other engineering and science disciplines
• 3 research seminars in major
• Master Thesis Proposal (semester 3) and Master Thesis (semester 4)
PhD studies encompass (semesters 5-10):
• Individual work on the PhD dissertation
• Courses and seminars on an individual basis
