Program Description:

The Department of Psychology at Jackson State University (JSU) offers a Ph.D. in clinical psychology that follows the scientist practitioner model. The clinical program began in fall 1995 and is in the process of applying for APA accreditation. The program is currently listed by the Joint Designation Committee of the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (ASPPB/NR) as meeting its curriculum guidelines. Jackson State University is currently accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
