Instruction areas: bacteriology, mycology, virology, immunology, epidemiology, public health, environmental microbiology and food microbiology. The Department also participates in the interdepartmental majors and programs in genetics, immunobiology, MCDB (molecular, cellular, and developmental biology), neuroscience, technology and social change, toxicology; and water resources.
