Program Description:

From our program in information assurance to the security of America's power grid, we do work today that makes headlines tomorrow. Besides their strength in core areas, ECpE faculty are deeply involved in emerging fields such as nanotechnology, bioinformatics, and sensor networks. The department recently established the Information Infrastructure Institute (iCube) to develop IT solutions for many critical applications in science and engineering. We invented the world's first digital computer at Iowa State, after all, and with support for graduate research from our partners in business and government, we never stop inventing!
