Accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning, the Department of Community and Regional Planning at Iowa State offers the professional degree, master of community and regional planning. Students may develop programs with special emphasis in development planning, rural and small town planning, housing, urban design, planning management and implementation, planning in developing countries, social planning, transportation planning, environmental planning, community and rural development, land use planning, and urban and regional information systems.
