This certificate is designed to provide an understanding both of the moral and philosophical principles underlying U.S. foreign policy as well as the history of its conduct since America became a world power.The program also covers selected policy issues.

One Area-Study Course (Required): Chinese Grand Strategy: Foreign and Military Policy; Islam and Geopolitics in Eurasia; Islam in Contemporary Global Politics; U.S.-Latin American Relations: Threats and Opportunities; Russian Politics and Foreign Policy; U.S.-African Relations.
