The School of Public and Environmental Affairs' (SPEA) Public Financial Administration concentration in the Master of Public Affairs (MPA) program is currently ranked number three in the country by the 2009 U.S. News & World Report. From City Hall to overseas capitals, public finance and budgeting provide the support that transforms ideas into realities. And in these difficult economic times, there is more need than ever for people with the skills to solve public financial problems. The applied and experiential nature of our advanced courses will prepare you to become a productive employee immediately, whether you go into government finance and budgeting, applied program and policy analysis, or management. For students interested in leading-edge research, the premier journal in the field, "Public Budgeting & Finance," is edited at SPEA.

We do not have defined GRE and GPA requirements for admission consideration. The Admission Committee conducts a comprehensive review of each application file and seeks well-rounded students for admission to the SPEA master's programs.
