Program Description:

IUP's M.A. in Criminology program prepares students for administrative and management positions in the criminal justice system and related fields. It also serves as a foundation for doctoral study. The Ph.D. program prepares students for a career as a university or college professor. IUP's doctoral program places a heavy emphasis on "Preparing Future Faculty." Students take course work on pedagogy and work one-on-one with faculty members on developing excellent teaching skills.
