Program Description:

The NEW Doctoral program with a focus on Higher education beginning fall 2011 has been developed to respond to a need for development of future leaders in the area of higher education administration. The program benefits leaders who will serve directly in an administrative role or as educators with direct academic responsibilities. Inherent in this response by Immaculata University is the desire to combine theoretical development along with application-to-practice consistent with the philosophy of graduate education in its emphasis on career-oriented programs.

Students will demonstrate knowledge on current issues in higher education, the history and philosophy of higher education, change theory as applied to higher education, research techniques and applications, and fundamental principles of higher education leadership.

The program will be offered in a cohort model creating a professional learning community to enhance student-to-student interactions and support throughout the program.

The Doctor of Higher Education program is delivered in a hybrid format that seamlessly blends face-to-face and online delivery.
