Program Description:

The Department of Biological Sciences offers Master's degrees in Biology and Microbiology and Doctoral degress (both Ph.D. and D.A.) in Biology.
The Doctor of Arts in Biology degree has a combined emphasis on research and college-level teaching effectiveness. Students complete an original dissertation, seminars in college teaching, and teaching internships. Full three-year Fellowships (with non-resident tuition waivers) are available for DA students. More than 95% of recent graduates with a DA in Biology have academic positions.
