Program Description:

The research interests of accountancy and finance range across finance, corporate reporting and accounting education with particular interest in trans-European developments. Professor Haslam's interests lie in critical perspectives on accounting and aspects of social accounting. Professor Hirst leads staff research in the areas of capital investment appraisal and the microstructure of financial markets. Professor Weetman has published papers on comparative international financial analysis, aspects of conceptual frameworks and aspects of communication in financial statements.
