The discipline of strategic security incorporates best practices from the fields of Intelligence Management, Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies, and Protection Management into a comprehensive program designed to provide a world-wide strategic view of relevant security issues that impact individuals, agencies, businesses, and nations around the globe.

The Doctorate of Strategic Security prepares seasoned professionals for high-level managerial and leadership positions in government agencies, the private defense sector, nonprofits/think tanks, the military, as well as the protection/security field. A Doctorate Degree in Strategic Security will provide students with vital multidisciplinary leadership and analytical skills that will assist them in resolving high-level local, national, and international security matters. Graduates will also greatly expand their professional network through the opportunities provided in this degree program.

The Doctorate Degree in Strategic Security is earned by satisfactory completion of a minimum of 90 quarter units in Doctorate level University courses, completion of a written dissertation and oral defense, successful completion of formal evaluations by a doctorate committee, and demonstration of competence in at least one “defense language.”
