Program Description:
This program provides quality education through academic and supervised clinical experience which is sequenced to provide students an opportunity to integrate new knowledge into clinical practice. This 44 credit master's program program integrates Hazelden's treatment philosophy, which emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, treating the whole person as well as the disease of addiction, treating individuals and family members with dignity and respect, recognizing people's ability to change, and valuing the role of Twelve Step philosophy and mutual support groups in recovery. One-year full-time and two-year part-time programs are offered. Certificate program is an intensive 12-month apprenticeship model of learning offering 482 hours of learning and 1,096 hours of clinical practice.

Eligibility Requirements:
Must have a BS or BA degree from an accredited college in order to enroll in the master's program. Must have 2 years of post secondary education or a minimum of 60 semester credits
