Master’s, M.A.-Human Resource Management
Format: Campus
Program Description:
Successful management of an organization's human capital requires a logical, consistent strategy for moving people into, around, and out of the organization. Human Resource (HR) professionals work with other senior managers to ensure that all employees work efficiently and effectively to accomplish the organization's mission and goals. Generally, HR professionals are expected to be strong subject matter experts in six distinct bodies of HR knowledge: strategic management, workforce planning and employment, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits management, human resource development, and occupational health, safety, and security. Hawai'i Pacific University's MAHRM curriculum is built around these bodies of knowledge, to ensure that students successfully completing our classes are prepared to face and conquer the challenges posed by the growing complexity and competitiveness of the business and economic environments.
