The Professional Certificate in Secondary Education is designed to prepare individuals to receive a post-baccalaureate certificate in secondary education. Candidates will be guided by a belief in active, collaborative, reflective, experiential, and transformative learning and will work towards a license in Hawaii and 44 other states in one of the following areas: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, World Languages.

The professional certificate develops educators who are effective teachers ready to excel in diverse educational settings. Certificate holders are experts in their content areas while contributing experience, technology, and resources to the needs of their community.
