Program Description:

This area embraces both cross-cultural and historical themes, building upon scholarly methodologies, which advance critical understandings of inter-religious, multicultural and contextual religious experience. Traditions available for study include: Buddhism, Chinese and Japanese religions, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Fields of concentration include: feminism, ethnic studies, mysticism and spirituality, interfaith encounters and interdisciplinary studies of religious phenomena (myth, symbol, and ritual). The GTU offers both Masters and Doctoral level programs.

Eligibility Requirements:

M.A. - GRE: 550, GPA: 3.0
Reading knowledge in one modern foreign language by 3rd semester.
Ph.D. - GRE: 600, GPA: 3.5
Reading knowledge in two modern foreign languages by 3rd semester.
