Program Description:
Nurses know that a Master of Science in Nursing can open up new career opportunities. Experienced registered nurses with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) now have the opportunity to earn this advanced degree through Gonzaga University's online RN to MSN program.
The bridge program is designed to prepare students for graduate-level work and to succeed in fulfilling the demands and responsibilities of advanced and specialized roles in nursing. Students will study major research methods, pathophysiology and pharmacology, and systemic approaches to improving healthcare. Leadership topics are also integrated into the curriculum to develop students' professional skills.
Gonzaga's online RN to MSN program offers two areas of specialization, allowing for a wide variety of professional goals and interests:
•Nurse Educator: Teach the next generation of nurses
•Health Systems Leadership: Become a health care executive or the manager of a department or facility
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not required. Other unique benefits of Gonzaga's program include accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), a rolling admissions calendar, support to enhance writing skills, and the ability to transfer up to 20 percent of existing undergraduate or graduate credits (not including credits from a prior degree).
