Program Description:

The final aim of this training program is the training and formation of specialist in periodontology in accordance with the general guidelines of the European Federation of Periodontology. During the basic dental training students became familiar with the concepts on periodontal pathology, aetiology and treatment. In the mean time they received basic information on implants and implant treatment. During the specialist training this knowledge and treatment capability will be thoroughly expanded covering all conservative, surgical and reconstructive aspects of periodontology. Special attention will be given on surgical aspects of implantology, bone regeneration and ridge augmentation. Periodontal therapy and implantology will discussed and evaluated in close connection with prosthetic reconstruction of the patients. Special attention is given to the medically compromised patient. The training is both theoretical and clinical.
