Program Description:

The interuniversity "Advanced studies in linguistics" are set up as a high-quality training, which aims at increasing expertise in the various linguistic fields, theories and methods, as dealt with during the first and the second term. The program prepares the students for autonomous high-level scientific research. At the same time a number of skills are taught, with regard to the presentation of research results as well as the professional application of theoretical knowledge within the broad domain of linguistics. The advanced training in linguistics is organized by the University of Ghent, the University of Leuven, the University of Antwerp - UIA and the University of Brussels - VUB. Courses are held at all four participating universities. In theory the training takes one year (either full-time or part-time).
