Program Description:

These studies are aimed at graduates from different disciplines with a particular interest in European law. This one year course aims to provide high level teaching of the most important aspects of European Community law. European judicial protection, the institutional framework and European fiscal and social policies are discussed in detail both from a strictly legal approach and in their political/economic context and including the monetary aspects of European integration. Where relevant the relationship with Belgian and international legal systems is indicated. Through analysis of legislation, case-law and doctrine, a global overview of all aspects of Community policy is offered, including the most recent developments. The programme comprises nine courses. Students will be examined on all these courses. Besides lectures and guest lectures, students will have to make papers both on an individual and group basis. Finally, students will have to produce a dissertation on a subject related to European law with the prior approval of the examination-board.
