Program Description:
The Curriculum Studies Ed.D. Program in the Department of Curriculum, Foundations, and Reading brings together a variety of subject disciplines, including philosophy, ethics, cultural studies and curriculum theory. The study of curriculum embodies both content (what is learned) and instruction (how it is learned) and goals (why it is learned) developing an understanding of the past and present, and a vision of a better future.
Following completion of doctoral core courses, students have the opportunity to select one of two doctoral program strands: Curriculum Studies, Teaching and Learning.
The program requires 63 semester hours beyond Master's including dissertation.
