Program Description:

The nation's first accredited entry level master's degree program in Prosthetics and Orthotics, the program is designed to develop future leaders with advanced training in clinical pracice, reseach, and problem solving for lifelong learning. The curriculum involves a rich mix of classroom learning, laboratory training, and real world clinical experience.

Prosthetics and orthotics are allied health science professions focused on enhancing the capabilities of persons with limb loss and/or other physical impairment. As the nation's first entry-level Master of Science degree in prosthetics and orthotics, the program is designed to develop future leaders with advanced training in clinical practice, research, and problem solving for lifelong learning. The curriculum involves a rich mix of classroom learning, laboratory training, and real-world clinical experience. Program instruction consists of 48 credit hours over four semesters and covers three themes including applied physiology and engineering, clinical medicine and prosthetics/orthotics, and applied science and research.
